ENGIE are recruiting for a Site Manager to be based in Newbury. This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.

To manage a designated project on site and achieve the target contributions in accordance with the contract documents and programme; ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, to a high standard of quality and with high levels of client/resident satisfaction. To understand, implement and adhere to the company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are always upheld to the highest of standards.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

Monitoring

·  Monitor and report job progress against the programme to the Project Manager and Contracts Manager; produce site progress reports.
·  Assist the management of project specific preliminaries.
·  To be responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site-based documentation
·  Preparation and assistance with the site progress report
·  To assist in the management of project specific preliminaries
·  Attendance at project and company related meetings
·  Safe storage and co-ordination of materials

Health and Safety

·  Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects
·  Adherence to the Company quality standards
·  Assist with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
·  Maintain and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed
·  Comply with all the roles and responsibilities as set out within the SHEQ management system
·  Be responsible for your safety and others around you
·  Make every effort to attend all mandatory training courses related to your role

Management

·  Coordination / Leadership of the site team including subcontractors
·  Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.
·  Management of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc
·  To mentor and support Trainee/Assistant Site Manager at site
·  To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  Previous 2 years Site management experience within new – build housing
·  Experience of Partnership arrangements
·  Ability to operate Microsoft office software
·  Financial and commercial awareness

Desirable:

·  Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation and Health and Safety legislation
·  Understanding of local government construction and New Build projects
·  Professional attitude and approach to work
·  Effectively manage time to meet deadlines
