Purpose of the Job

 

As the Engineer, you will have first-hand experience On-site Utility (OSU) assets . It’s a full involvement from project taking handover from testing & commissioning into the Operations team. You will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. From exploring innovative solutions to overcoming obstacles along the way, you'll be at the forefront of driving project to success.

Reporting to the Portfolio performance Manager - GCC, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the assets. In this role, you need to work closely with various stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure that the assets are maintained in line with OEM maintenance manuals and delivered successfully.

Key Accountabilities

 

·  Operate and Maintain Heat Recovery Boilers, Turbine and associated auxiliaries, Chillers plants and PV Roof-top
·  Work collaboratively with Portfolio performance Manager - GCC and support the delivery of the Operations and Maintenance of Engie assets.
·  Responsible for delivery of operations and maintenance in a safe manner within performance criteria;
·  Ensure Health, Safety & Environment are maintained in line with Engie’s and client policies.
·  Coordinate the planning and execution of maintenance with the client.
·  Participate during Testing and commissioning of the plant
·  Ensure maintenance of assets are carried out on time and of high quality and meet OEM and industry standards;
·  Ensure management & supervision of daily site activities;
·  Manage and support Engie’s subcontractors;
·  Ensure that the subcontractors complete their maintenance activities on time;
·  Provide site progress reports and other status updates to management;
·  Manage maintenance Schedule
·  Ensure all activities are logged in CAFM
·  Spares management
·  Warranty Management
·  Provide technical advice to your team to improve their performance.
·  Performance management of all Engineering Maintenance Services.
·  Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly workload plans for the facility.
·  Analyze audit reports submitted by your subordinates and translate them into action plans.
·  Develop and monitor service level key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure all services are carried out to customer satisfaction.
·  Utilize the helpdesk facility to evaluate business performance and provide recommendations for continuous  improvement.
·  Ensure the company quality assurance and health and safety procedures are implemented effectively.
·  Represent the company at regular meetings with the client and other authorities as directed.

Qualifications

 

·  Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Ideal but not essential in Mechanical (preferred Electrotechnical)

 

 

Experience

 

·  Operations and maintenance of turbines (advantageous but not essential)
·  Construction of Solar PV Plants
·  Worked as a senior Engineer
·  Excellent organizational and communication skills
·  Self-disciplined and result-oriented
·  Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and adjust plans accordingly
·  Solid team player
·  Fire systems and life safety systems

·  Drivers License
·  Project management Skills

 

 

Language

 

English (essential) Fluent

Arabic  (preferred)

 

Location/travel

 

·  UAE – On Site at Lafarge and other sites in UAE
