ENGIE are recruiting for a Shift Technician to be based at Sea Containers, 22 Upper Ground, London, SE1 9PD. This is a permanent, full-time role working on a complex shift pattern (days and nights). On offer is a salary banding of £37,000 - £38,000, dependent upon skills and experience and high quality benefits package.

General Overview:

The Shift Technician is responsible for ensuring that all activities allocated to his shift are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook with regards to the quality of work and Health & Safety.

The Working Hours are Continental shift based 12 hrs on site 1 hour lunch –  days and nights shifts 

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

· 
Completion of PPM and reactive tasks.

· 
Carry out electrical, controls, plumbing and mechanical minor works installations.

· 
Timely implementation and recording of statutory inspections including accurate recording of fire and water hygiene records

· 
Control of 3rd party contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing using QAC1.

· 
Take responsibility for escalating critical incidents and producing and submitting incident reports within the prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Site Supervisor

The Shift Technician will be expected to operate, and trouble shoot all building systems but not be limited to the following:

· 
Building Energy Systems 

· 
Electrical and BMS Controls system 

· 
Air conditioning units and terminal units AHUs,  VAV and FCUs 

· 
Cooling tower plant

· 
Domestic water services

· 
Fire prevention and detection systems

· 
Sprinklers and wet risers

· 
Fire alarm and voice alarm

· 
VESDA

· 
Fire suppression

· 
Variable speed drives

· 
Generators, load banks and controls

· 
AC, DC single phase and three phase motors

· 
UPS systems, batteries, static switches and associated controls

· 
Emergency lighting

· 
Low voltage switch panels and associated breakers

· 
High voltage switch panels and the operation of high voltage systems (11kV) including transformers and VCB’s (training and familiarisation with this system will be made available when required)

Required Qualifications / Skills

·  A recognised industry qualification will be required (i.e. City and Guilds) and ideally time served apprenticeship in an electrical discipline.
·  IEE Wiring Regulations 17th / 18th Edition City & Guilds 2382 – 15 or equivalent at minimum
·  Water Treatment experience ( L8 training)
·  A CSCS card or similar is required.
·  IPAF or similar for operating MWP 

Previous experience in the following required:

·  LV Single phase and 3 Phase
·  BEMS operator (TREND System are an advantage)
·  Minor plumbing works 
·  Minor mechanical works 
·  Working on low pressure systems
·  Refrigeration experience is advantageous
