Your mission

Within the New Energy department, the Future Collectivities and Homes Lab is facilitating the capture of the value shift in the residential business. The Lab aims at anticipating the impact of evolving and emerging technologies, regulations and user behaviors to accompany, in a cost-effective tailored approach, the development of new products and services.

For the activities of the Future Collectivities and Homes Lab, we seek to appoint a project engineer in energy management, with relevant expertise and a specific interest for innovative technologies. He/She is prepared to become immersed in a range of diverse, multi-disciplinary subjects (storage, mobility, heating & hot water, decentralized energy production, connectivity, ..), to help with the development and implementation of various projects, and to interact with and give support to important stakeholders.

More specifically:

·  You perform technology/product watch, benchmark solutions, test solutions in our lab facilities (energy management related, among which storage solutions, metering devices, integrated systems..), analyze and model energy management concepts, and evaluate their potential for Engie and its industrial customers
·  You contribute to and lead R&D projects in residential applications, with a scope ranging from single homes to energy communities
·  You take initiatives to develop new products and service activities related to distributed energy management in the low voltage grid.
·  You develop and maintain a strong technical network within your expertise field
·  You are able to manage sustainable collaborations with partners

Are you passionate about technology, and are you considering a career as an expert and project manager?

·  You have a Master degree in electrotechnical or electromechanical engineering, possibly a PhD You have at least 2 years of relevant experience
·  You are curious, aware of the energy market, and interested in technical challenge
·  You appreciate to realize concrete technical tasks
·  You are team player, organized, flexible and customer oriented
·  Experience in project management in a must
·  You work autonomously and take initiatives
·  You have good communication skills (both oral and written) in Dutch/French/English and master perfectly at least 2 of those 3 languages
