Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Procurement Support Team member to be based at  SSC, Q3, Quorum Business Park, Newcastle NE12 8EX. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm. On offer is a salary of £18,000 - £20,000, dependent upon skills and experience.


General Overview:

As a Procurement Support Team Member, you will have overall accountable for the delivery of day to day back office supplier administration and query management of the 3rd party procurement software; collectively regarded as master data management (MDM). You will drive simplification and standardisation across our processes to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the service. You will champion the functional vision, mission and ambition and ‘live’ the SSC values. Providing front line, holistic procurement system support across both users and suppliers which will promote an effective procure to pay service across the business and reporting to the SSC Procurement Services Team Lead.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  Resolution of queries from within the 3rd party procurement software or SAP interface
·  Supplier on-boarding / off-boarding and full systems master data management – working with central procurement
·  Catalogue maintenance and administration
·  Rebate management – working with Accounts Payable/Receivable
·  Monthly savings administration for central procurement
·  Super user status of current and future 3rd party procurement software to support the wider business users
·  3rd party procurement software to SAP interface and continuity management (ie GR/PO/IR issues)
·  Accountable for day to day performance across your work streams in line with agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
·  Analytics support and / opportunity analysis across MDM – proactive working
·  Other aspects of wider procurement services support activity to cope with increased demand across the function – a ‘Can do attitude’
·  Master Data accuracy monitored, measured and improved.
·  Optimised Supplier Base through effective MDM processes 
·  Query management tracked and proactively managed – trend analysis
·  Supplier on-boarding / off-boarding process streamlined and managed end to end – identifying and resolving bottlenecks
·  3rd party procurement software to SAP interface management measured and controlled
·  Increased number and use of Supplier Catalogues
·  Effective Rebate collection / tracking process - accuracy improved
·  Customer engagement is in force and monitored – better engagement scores – Credible Service
·  Reporting into the Procurement Services Team Lead 
·  Proactive attitude towards work and empowered to make a change if for necessity or benefit
·  Provision of services across the UK, across all business units (Customers)
·  Working from Newcastle SSC – occasional need to visit customers and stakeholders.
·  Working under the Procurement Services functional budget – all costs need to be managed.
Key Relationships: 

·  External customers such as all UK business units who depend on our services
·  Internal SSC functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, IT and Finance
·  Central Procurement across the UK
·  Upward reporting into the team lead and Head of Procurement Services
·  External supplier relationships

Required Qualifications & Experience: 
Qualifications:

·  GCSE Level or higher
·  Willingness to enrol for future departmental training to aid development. Experience: 
Essential:

·  Experience of working with internal and external customers
·  Experience in Microsoft Office – Excel and Word  - ability to analyse data 
·  Willingness to learn and take on new tasks – self develop Desirable:

·  May show a potential to develop a career in Procurement & Supply Chain
