Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Pensions / Payroll Administrator to be based in Newcastle. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. Standard Office (9am - 5pm). On offer is a competitive salary.

General Overview :   
To process all pension data including starters, leavers changes to pension schemes.  Ensure accuracy of data for compliance.

Compliant service delivery :
Hold a good working knowledge of Pension and Payroll processes, legislation and compliance requirements
Operate in line with pension procedures and processes including:

·  Auto enrolment
·  Contractual enrolment
·  Pension queries
·  Data entry into HR System
·  Completion of standard forms for relevant pension provider
·  Annual returns
·  Reconciliation of pension payments
·  Load data files to pensions portal
·  Ad-hoc pension reports as and when required
·  Earnings Enquiries
·  Absence Administration
·  Liaise with HR as appropriate
·  Tax code changes, P45, RTI submissions
·  Timesheet input
·  Ensure the requisite transactions are processed in the pension scheme;
·  Prepare, check and load the interface files
·  Ensure all process documentation is up to date
·  Attention to detail especially when taking phone calls or responding to emails
·  Resolving queries from employees relating to pensions, communicating with and outside the Payroll team 
·  Recognising when to escalate
·  Continuous improvement
·  Identify opportunities for self-improvement;
·  Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements
·  Provide high standards of customer service, consistency with service levels agreements and operational compliance
The Pension Administrator is responsible for ensuring employees are compliant and processed accordingly in the relevant scheme. Also responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time therefore maintaining a good relationship with the employees.

The 15,000 workforce comprises a mix of full time monthly staff, part time staff, temporary payments and overtime. Data is received from multiple sites with many different T&Cs and sick schemes. There are a number of systems in use including SAP

·  Experience in operating within a Pension/Payroll team in a transaction processing environment
·  Technical knowledge in Pension/Payroll legislation 
·  Excellent administration skills
·  Excellent team player being mutually supportive
·  Good communication skills
·  Good data entry speeds
·  Strong IT skills
·  SAP ECC Desirable
·  Excel essential
