Engie are recruiting for a Painter & Decorator to be based in Royal Blackburn Hospital BB2 3HH. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 08:00-16:30). On offer is a salary of £23,000per annum.The role holder will report to Building Fabric Supervisor.
•We are looking for a hands-on multi-skilled Painter and Decorator to join the maintenance team at Royal Blackburn Hospital. They will demonstrate good hands-on maintenance experience, willingness to learn new skills and will establish good working relationships with other team members. The individual should have ambitions to progress within a company that offers plentiful opportunities to develop.
•Hands on maintenance including preparation and painting tasks (water and oil based paints) both internally and externally on site via the use of brushes, rollers, etc. Carry out essential planned maintenance. Flexible working hours required which may include shifts and overtime working. Administer and complete relevant paperwork. Understand and meet on-going customer requirements within a hospital environment, develop effective working relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors.

•At all times maintain a smart appearance and professional manner that is representative of Engie in the workplace. Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.

•Painting and Decorating Qualifications/ Time Served.
•Capable of all aspects of Painting and Decorating tasks
•Safe use of Power Tools and Machinery.
•Patch Plastering, rendering.
•Painting.
•Assisting other trades in their duties when required.
•Fair, consistent and courteous attitude in all dealings at all levels.
•Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
•Sound knowledge of Health & Safety
•Experience of working within a Healthcare environment preferred but not essential.
•Full driving licence desirable
•Ability to follow instruction, work to plans, communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate to trade/skill
