Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Operative (Civils / Building Fabric) to be based in Hinkley Point B Power Station, Nr Bridgwater, Somerset TA5 1UD. This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £26,073 per annum

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  To deliver a variety of civil biased skills including but not limited to concrete and reinforcement, groundworks, building fabric repairs.
·  Able to work in a physically demanding environment including confined spaces and work at height.
·  Ability to follow safe work instructions (risk assessments, work order cards).
·  Able to complete Risk Assessments and Point of Work Risk Assessment.
·  Flexible, responsible approach to work utilising initiative to ensure work is driven to completion.
·  Develop effective working relationships with appropriate parties on Station.
·  Be a team player with good communication skills.

Essential:

·  Demonstrable General Civils / Building Fabric based skills to a high quality including:
·  Ground works, hand and machine excavation, plant operation, concrete works (formworks and reinforcement), building fabric repairs.
·  Experience of working in both an industrial and construction environment.
·  Can read, understand and apply safe working practices in a challenging, high pressured environment.
·  Willing to contribute to the overall team and company objectives, flexible and able to respond to new directives and challenges. Preferable:

·  Plumbing, Plastering and / or carpentry (inc’ Door sets) skills would be advantageous.
·  Able to prepare and manage work packages including quantifying materials and arranging prices from suppliers. Workplace / EDF Energy Training Requirements:
·  Health and Safety (Level 1) including COSHH.
·  Manual Handling
·  EDF Energy - Safe Unescorted Access to Site (Site Specific)
·  EDF Energy - Entry into Radiation and Contamination Controlled Areas
·  EDF Energy - Generic Dressing I Undressing for CCA
·  EDF Energy- Competent person E&MIN&R (compulsory for anyone carrying out supervisory duties)
·  EDF Energy- Information Security Level 2 (only required for supervisory level)
·  EDF Energy - Fire watch training
·  EDF Energy- Confined Space Familiarisation
·  EDF Energy - Foreign Materials Exclusion Monitor I Guardian
·  EDF Energy - Human Performance , Peer to Peer
·  EDF Energy - Fire Prevention
