Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Mobile Service Engineer to be based in Gatwick Airport. This is a permanent role working 38 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £30,000 plus shift allowance and benefits package. This role will report in to the Shift Supervisor.

 

To complete proactive, planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on various baggage systems at various locations within the UK as issued paying due regard to risk/method statements in force. This will include working at sites other than Gatwick Airport.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  Delivering an efficient and reliable baggage system in order to contribute positively to our Customers operations
·  Conducting planned and preventative Maintenance duties on an automated conveyor and sortation system
·  Conducting reactive fault interventions to ensure operational uptime is maximised
·  Working on continual improvements of the baggage system
·  Project/installation (mechanical and electrical) works when required
·  To carry out facilities based tasks when required such as but not limited to; lighting and small power; AC maintenance/replacement of filters and some housekeeping duties
·  Complete non-technical fault interventions
·  Follow safe methods of working at all times and to comply with company, statutory and customer Health and Safety rules
·  Ensure all work completed meets accepted specification and quality
·  Additional duties as required and considered reasonable at the discretion of the management team

Qualifications or Required Experience:  

·  A recognised Electro-Mechanical Apprenticeship
·  Relevant experience of automated conveyor systems or production lines
·  Mobile Service Engineer
·  UK Driving Licence
·  17th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred but not crucial)
