Job description



ENGIE are recruiting for a Mobile Service Engineer to be based at Gatwick Airport, RH6 0PN. This is a permanent, full-time role working 38 hours per week on a complex shift pattern including nights. On offer is a salary of £31,994 with a shift allowance of £6,398.8 and high quality benefits package.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  To complete proactive, planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on the TBF Gatwick Airport baggage system,  paying due regard to risk/method statements in force.  This will include work at sites other than TBF Gatwick Airport as and when required.
·  To carry out facilities based tasks as  and when required such as but not limited to, line floor cleaning, replacement of filters, lighting tubes, AC maintenance.
·  To provide MIS/ Manual Coding station coverage and support as required.
·  To identify and record/ photograph out of gauge and out of specification baggage on the system and take necessary action to prevent reaching the sorter.
·  To complete non technical fault interventions paying due regard to risk/method statements in force.
·  To follow safe methods of working at all times and to comply with company, statutory and customer Health and Safety rules.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  Electrical maintenance skills (Biased) 17th Edition
·  Mechanical fitting and maintenance skills
·  Ability to read mechanical / electrical diagrams
Knowledge/Skills:
·  Conveyor handling plant ( and equipment maintenance )
·  Health and Safety legislation including method statements / risk assessment
·  Planned, reactive and condition based maintenance principles
