Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Mobile AC Engineer to be based in Unit 42, Enterprise Centre, Bryn Road, Bridgend, CF32 9BS.

 

This is a permanent full time role (working 40 hours per week, 8am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri) and on offer will be a salary of up to £30,000 per annum, plus business use vehicle.  This role will report into the Service Supervisor.

 

To be successful in this role you must provide the following:

·  Minimum of 3 year history of employment (including information which can be verified for any gaps)
·  If you do not have 3 years previous employment, a professional reference must be provided (obtained from a Medical Practitioner, Officer of the Armed Forces, Teacher, Lecturer, Lawyer, Bank Manager, Civil Servant etc)
·  Proof of identity & eligibility to work in the UK which must include:
·  Photographic I.D - Passport or Driving Licence.
·  Passport and all relevant work permits
·  or NI Number information / proof and full Birth certificate
·  If no legal photographic documentation is owned then a passport photo which has been signed and verified by any of the above professionals will be required. This needs to show their title, signature and contact details.
·  2 proofs of address from within the last 3 months (i.e. council tax bill, bank statement, utilities bills).
·  Any required qualifications or driving licence if required for the role.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

·  Air Conditioning required designing, installing, maintaining and repairing systems such as ventilation, refrigeration, gas, air conditioning, central heating, among others. These deliveries can be at factories, schools, hospitals, offices, and shops installing different types of air conditioning systems according to customer needs in order to maintain temperature and humidity within buildings.
·  Air Conditioning engineers to perform many of the following tasks:
·  Providing technical information to clients.
·  Inspecting air conditioning systems.
·  Diagnosing faulty equipment.
·  Buying materials.
·  Supervising craft workers.
·  To provide engineers with technical support and take part in 24 hour emergency call out service.
·  To carryout site surveys for the purposes of preparing quotations for PPM and Extra works.
·  To undertake site inspections to generate quotations for extra works.
·  To assist in meeting Customer KPIs ensuring contract retention and high service levels.
·  To assist in ensuring any new contracts are mobilised correctly and to agreed timescales as directed by the Service supervisor.
·  To bring to the attention of the Service Supervisor any opportunities to reduce reliance on subcontractors and achieve higher margins. 
·  To help supervise/monitor SSPs in their service delivery activities ensuring that relevant paperwork is supplied and works completed on time, to an acceptable standard.
·  To ensure ENGIE staff and SSPs work in a safe manner at all times in compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures and to carry out safety audits.
·  To ensure that all contracts have up to date Health and Safety plans and that Tool Box Talks are carried out on schedule.
·  To ensure compliance with Company work wear guidelines by wearing and ensuring staff wear Company work wear including PPE and are smartly dressed at all times.
·  To ensure all sites log books and records are complete, kept up to date, tidy and in a safe place for audit.
·  To ensure Customer work areas are clean and tidy at all times projecting a good image and ensuring safety.
·  To carry out vehicle inspections ensuring that all Company vehicles are well maintained, in a clean condition and all faults reported.
·  To ensure Company paperwork is received on the correct dates from employees and sent to the local office on time to ensure Customer and staff obligations are met.
·  To ensure that all time sheets are received on time, all information is correct and the detail clear and concise.
·  To comply with and ensure compliance with Company policy and procedures

Qualifications –

·  Essential City & Guilds 2079 NVQ Level 3 Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
·  Qualifications – Desirable 17th Edition Electrical IPAFF- Desirable PASMA- Desirable F GAS

Experience:

·  Be experienced at working on a wide range of Air Conditioning Equipment and general building services plant. Have excellent internal and external customer facing communication skills Have good written communication skills Be able to complete required electronic paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
·  Be able and happy to work alone or in a team as required Main duties Repair defective equipment effectively or recommend remedial action as appropriate.
·  Carry out routine planned maintenance work.
·  The installation and commissioning of new equipment.
·  Ensuring plant/equipment is maintained in accordance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance System. In line with the maintenance standard SFG20 and other recognised industry standards.

For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
