ENGIE are recruiting for a Materials Scheduler to be based in Salford, M50 3BF. This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 16:00. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance and benefits package.

Purpose of the Role:



To produce, manage and deliver to Material Requirement Schedule for all New Build, Education and Public Buildings and refurb projects. To review specification & drawings, identifying any potential issues and raising query sheets. To produce requisition including take offs and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Ensure materials are procured in time for site including managing long lead in items
·  Attend team meetings as required
·  Liaise with Site Management on quantity / delivery issues
·  Liaise with client / architect to resolve design issues
·  Liaise with suppliers for technical advice
·  Offer alternative materials for Value Engineering purpose
·  Keep up to date with latest technical legislation
·  Building Regulation knowledge desirable
·  Provide IT support for supplier
·  KPI reportage for Buyer
·  Work closely with central buying team to ensure all MDS dates are achieved
·  Positively assist Managers in all aspects of material management to ensure construction programmes are achieved
·  Ensure requirements from the Managers are carried out diligently and responsibly
·  Customers and Partners, Architects

What we are looking for:

·  Ideally HNC/HND construction
·  Can read and interpret technical drawings
·  Use and knowledge of take off software
·  Can work as part of a team
·  Working to deadline
·  Has an understanding of basic material components
·  Not afrid to voice their own ideas/push forward alternative options 
·  Will read drawings and challenge if necessary 
·  Full valid UK Driving Licence Why work for us?
