Job description

The Renewable Energies (RES) Belux Business Entity , part of the Benelux Business Unit, focuses on developing and exploiting renewable energy sources: onshore and offshore wind turbines and solar energy.
Electrabel has very ambitious goals for renewable energy, especially onshore wind power. Today we already have 300 MW in operation, and by the end of 2020 we want that figure to reach 500 MW.
The Asset Management team defines the strategy and optimises the operation and maintenance of the renewable energy assets of Electrabel and its partners in Belgium and Luxembourg in the medium and long term. It also builds on the existing technical expertise to support the O&M team, which is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of wind farms and solar parks.
We are currently seeking an IT Business Officer to join our team.
Your mission
· you will form the link between renewable decentralised generation, IT and digitisation
· together with the operational team, you will seek to optimise and further develop our business IT systems to oversee, monitor and report on our renewable assets, including the Darwin Platform and the SCADA system used by the RES Belux dispatching team
· you will help to smoothly integrate new wind farms into existing business systems
· you will devise solutions enabling interfaces between different internal or external systems
· you will be involved in the development of databases and data analysis tools to improve fleet performance and support maintenance
· you will support the development of apps to improve processes and communication
· you will serve as BU Benelux IS's liaison officer for the RES Belux entity for the various IT domains (office equipment, infrastructure, telecoms, etc.)
· you will be responsible for managing the cyber security of RES activities and ensuring their compliance with corporate cyber security requirements together with the BU Benelux IS
· you will provide support for budget management and service-level agreements for IT systems and services and will also investigate potential for optimisation
· you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience
· you have wide-ranging technical expertise in IT, including in industrial IT, automation, networks, cyber security, data acquisition, databases, the cloud, network architecture, telecoms, apps
· you are familiar with web services, OPC, ODBC, Wonderware, SDSL and VPNs
· you're analytically minded and capable of building bridges between business nodes and the IT Department. You are capable of devising creative IT solutions for complex issues
· you are a good networker and capable of communicating RES Belux's requirements to internal and external partners: ENGIE IT, EngieLab, BU RES France IS, WT constructors
· you are curious about the technology behind data analytics and apps
