Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a an Industrial Operative to be based in Torness Power Station, Dunbar, East Lothian, EH42 1QS. This is a permanent, full time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30. On offer is a competitive salary.

General Overview:

Undertake day to day duties, associated with an industrial environment.  This may include manual labouring, industrial cleaning, operating various equipment, carrying out confined space works, fire watching duties, pumping of sumps, assisting various skilled teams, driving and such as grass cutting, in accordance with Company standards. 

Main Responsibilities:

·  Carry out work safely and efficiently, as directed by Supervisor/Team Leader.
·  Ensure all equipment used is done so to Company and/or manufacturers standards.
·  Maintain any given documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 standards.
·  Attend toolbox talks and undertake duties in accordance with the information given.
·  Ensure compliance with Company and client Health, Safety and Environmental rules.
·  Report any accidents, near misses, health and safety or environmental issues to Team Leader or Supervisor immediately.
·  As an effective member of the Soft Services Team, you will be focused on customer care with a “can do” attitude with the flexibility and adaptability to work within the team in a changing business environment. 
·  Be able to rectify problems where appropriate (following correct procedures)
·  Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
·  Carry out appropriate risk assessments before undertaking any work

·  Experience in the Industrial Field Preferred 
·  An intermediate knowledge of health and safety requirements in a similar environment. For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
