Industrial Operative - Hinkley Point B Power Station

Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Industrial Operative to be based in Hinkley Point B Power Station, Nr Bridgwater, Somerset TA5 1UD. This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday - 07:45 to 16:15, Friday - 07:45 to 13:15. On offer is a competitive salary.

General Overview

The prospective candidate will be expected to carry out all general cleaning duties on pre-planned work orders ensuring correct cleaning standards are maintained throughout the domestic areas and to be able to take ownership.  Be able to listen, and understand relevant details and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.

Main Responsibilities

·  The successful candidate will carry out cleaning in designated areas in accordance with the schedule. Ensuring that these areas are clean and hygienic.This will include vacuuming, emptying bins and cleaning toilets, to enable us to deliver and maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the site.
·  The challenges the job presents is to work to a planned work schedule. Reacting to unexpected tasks that may arise from Client derived issues thus, completing these tasks in a safe timely manner.

·  Cleaning experience would be preferred
·  Candidates should also have a good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and Control of Substances hazardous to Health (COSHH)
·  Some knowledge in the use of mechanical cleaning machinery
