What You Can Expect

As our Facilities Intern, in Boston, MA  at ENGIE’s Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP) located in Boston, MA, you will be responsible for assisting the Operations Department manager with all aspects of developing and managing operation programs pertaining to OSHA regulations and state and federal environmental requirements, including trap program, procedure review, log sheets review and storage, organizing computer manual and drives, and emergency responses. Every day you will aid in the development and completion of environmental and safety metrics, safety equipment inventories, and inspections geared to reducing injuries and risk. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

· 
You are actively pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Facilities Engineering or Marine Engineering

·  You can work at least forty hours of consistently-scheduled availability within standard working hours (7:30am – 4pm) in Eastern Standard time, Monday – Friday. Exact hours are negotiable
·  You are proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
·  You are confident in your oral and written communication skills

 

 

Additional Details

·  ENGIE’s  internship summer semester dates of expected work will be May through August
·  This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis;
·  Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
·  Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
·  This position consists of less than 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee maybe exposed to some weather conditions
·  Must be able to work internally in the physical plant and externally on the facility’s grounds or at satellite facilities
·  Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range:   $21.00 to $23.50 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
