Electrician Apprentice - Torness Power Station, East Lothian

Workplace Solutions have an exciting oppurtunity for an Electrical Apprentice to be based in Torness Power Station, Dunbar, East Lothian EH42 1QS. This is on an apprenticeship scheme for the duration of 48 months until qualification. The role will be working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30. On offer is a competitive salary.


General Overview:

The Electrical Apprentice will work as part of an electrical mechanical team which is part of a wider Hard Services team. This team carries out planned and reactive tasks as required to support the contract.
Must be able to work closely with Engie team to complete day to day tasks and report to the M&E Supervisor and Hard Services Manager to discuss their progression

Attributes for the Apprenticeship:

·  Must be able to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills 
·  Must be able to demonstrate good practical skills
·  Must be able to follow instruction.
·  Must have good organisational skills
·  Must demonstrate a commitment to the apprenticeship scheme, completing all required packages/workbooks as well as attending off site sessions as required throughout their training.
·  Needs to be able to evidence forward thinking to know how their career will progress
·  Must be able to work within the Hard Services team and assist engineers in their day to day tasks.
·  Must have good interpersonal skills and display a high standard of integrity and responsibility

·  A-C grades in English, Maths and Science subjects.
