Engie are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based in Worcester Royal Hospital WR5 1DD. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700 with 1 hour for lunch). On offer is a Competitive salary. The role holder will report to the Technical Services Manager.
General Overview:   
•To undertake a proactive role carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection on electrical systems, and mechanical and associated building services. All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance
•As part of a skilled engineering team you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various services across site and will involve varied tasks such as working on Lighting Systems, Nurse Call, L.V Electrical Installations, Security Systems, Motors, Pumps and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme.
•Respond in the required time to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, to comply with contractual KPI’s.
•Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
•Carry out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment.
•Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.
•Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
•Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures.
•Complete and maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic.
•Willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades/colleagues.
•Ensure liaison with Wards and Departments as required, ensuring there is minimum disruption whilst carrying out work.
•Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
•Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager.
•Collaborate and co-operate with the partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focused service.
•Carry out required Authorised Person (AP) duties as required by site management and personal competence.
•Participate in the Engineer on call rota (Additional Payment associated)

Experience
•Previously worked within a maintenance environment.
•Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment
•Good electrical knowledge – ability to fault find and repair electrical systems
•Knowledge of mechanical systems 
Skills/Ability/Knowledge
•Ample post apprenticeship experience within a maintenance environment.
Education/Qualification
•Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
•Previous Competent Person/Authorised Person experience including LV/HV systems
•GCSE / O Level Mathematics and English or equivalent
•City and Guild Inspection and Testing

•Work as a team player and pass on knowledge to others
•Flexible and willing
•Prepared to work out of hours as necessary
•Prepared to travel to other sites within the Company
•Possess a current valid driving licence
•Flexible to work ad-hoc shifts on a 5 out of 7 day basis
