ENGIE are recruiting for a Electrical Engineer to be based in Westminster
London, SW1A 2BQ. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. This role will report in to the Engineering Supervisor.


The normal working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday, 10:00pm until 6:30am.

The role will include working directly for the Engineering Supervisor, whilst supporting the wider engineering team.  You may be asked to work with various specialist subcontractors in order to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients.  You must be able to demonstrate that you are aware of best working practices and that you are following them at all times.

The successful engineer will be site based, covering one very large, Grade II* listed government office building in Central London.  The role is a for a shift engineer, working primarily nights (10pm to 6am), but must be flexible in response to business need.

The main responsibilities will include effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, especially emergency lighting (including stock control), through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner.  There may be some requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised.

The candidate will be working as part of a wider engineering team and so there may be a requirement for them to pick up other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.

Qualifications or Required Experience:
·  Proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase).
·  17th Edition Test & Inspection
·  City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent
·  Knowledge and experience of building services, with an electrical bias
·  Be flexible and reliable
·  Ability to act on own initiative
·  Full Clean Driving licence
·  Ability to work with different people
·  Be practical and demonstrate good common sense
·  Currently have CTC clearance/be able to gain CTC clearance if not currently possessed For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
