Concierge (Part Time) - 90 Whitfield Street EDF Energy

Job description

Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Part Time Concierge to be based in 90 Whitfield Street, London W1T 4EZ. This is a permanent, part time role working 30 hours per week, with the ability to be flexible as required.
Monday to Friday - 7am - 5.30pm (30 hours within these core times).
On offer is a competitive salary of £16,489 - £18,361 per annum, depending on skills and experience.


General Overview:

As the first point of contact at The HQ offices, the Concierge team must demonstrate excellent customer service, be proactive, welcoming and make all visitors to site comfortable with all arrangements.
Provide a Health & Safety induction, accompany visitors on site when needed and be knowledgeable about all site facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

·  To be able to work as an effective and reliable member of the Front of House team
·  Maintain a professional image on behalf of Workplace Solutions and EDF Energy
·  Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety and know the Emergency arrangements
·  Have the ability to remain calm working under pressure and manage changing priorities
·  Ability to use initiative when demanding situations arise
·  Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically when dealing with a wide range of people
·  Ensure Security and Health & Safety protocols are followed during visitor sign-in
·  Ensure that visiting EDF Energy staff who have successfully completed the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) vetting, NNB Generic Induction training and Qube Induction training but do not work frequently at The Qube are issued with a Temporary Pass
·  Ensure that any person(s) not able to prove that they have completed their BPSS vetting and relevant induction training are issued with an Escorted Visitors’ Pass and that they are supervised by their Escort at all times
·  Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of calls and forward to appropriate personnel or department
·  Be aware of callers using social engineering techniques to obtain systems or company information
·  Make meeting room bookings
·  Receive, sort and route mail as required
·  Escort or direct visitors as required
·  Accurately book meeting rooms, ensuring that all booking details such as meeting title, host name, attendee names, Catering and additional resource requirements are accurately noted
·  Book parking when required
·  Maintain the cloakroom and ensure that all security procedures are adhered to
·  IT knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft packages and willingness to learn new systems
·  May be required to cover security duties during periods of absence
·  Be responsive to the need to work extended hours if needed
·  A friendly and collaborative approach to working
·  Attendance at team briefings and training sessions as required
·  Must carry, or be able to obtain, a valid SIA license This job will entail working at EDF Energy’s head office with a large visitor footfall and a high level of security and so a high degree of personal responsibility is required. Individuals will need to be mature, calm and able to think on their feet.

·  Significant work experience within a similar customer-facing role
