Engie are recruiting for a Cleaner to be based in Blessed John Henry Newman RC College OL9 9QY This is a 6 months fixed term part time role working 30 hours per week (2 hours in a morning 6am until 8am.  Evenings 3:15 until 19:15, these hours may alter dependent on events and demand on site, these will be reviewed and advised prior to change). The role holder will report to the Cleaning Supervisor
•Undertake day to day cleaning activities within a school such as cleaning classrooms, toilets, litter picking, emptying bins in accordance with the Service Delivery Plan.
•Comply with Deep cleaning schedules and area cleaning on a daily, weekly and monthly basis or as directed. 
•Be able to use cleaning equipment, both manually and electrical equipment. 
•To work in a professional manner as part of a team.
•Able to work alone on site without constant / direct supervision. 
•Carry out work safely and efficiently as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
•To cover additional hours as required through team sickness and absence.
•To present themselves in a public environment and be able to communicate in a customer friendly manner.
•Able to work under pressure.
•To adhere to company policies.
•Ensure all equipment being used is safe and the daily and weekly maintenance has been carried out.
•Attend Tool Box Talks and complete any actions that arise from them.
•Ensure legal and contractual compliance by following local rules and procedures.
•Report any accidents or near misses to the Accident Reporting Hotline or to the Cleaning Supervisor.
•To correctly store chemicals and equipment in a tidy manner.
•To communicate with the cleaning supervisor to ensure stock levels do not run out.
•To wear company uniform at all times and be clean, presentable, courteous and professional at all times.
•Undertake any other duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected by the Facilities Manager or Cleaning Supervisor.
•To partake in relevant training as and when required.
•To ensure the effective use of consumables as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.

•Previous cleaning experience required.
•Knowledge of COSHH, colour coding and infection control.
•To be a good team worker who can concentrate on delivering their own responsibilities.
•Enthusiastic and committed to providing a high quality service to the customer.
