ENGIE have exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to be based in Canada Square, Canary Wharf London E14 5LQ . This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £55,000 - £75,000 , company vehicle, bonus and benefits package, dependent upon skills and experience .
General Overview:
The Business Energy and Services (BES) division of Engie UK is responsible for providing outsourced support services and energy services to customers across the UK. We work with a wide range of customers including manufacturing, industry, corporate, commercial, retail, heritage and transport bodies.
We are seeking a energetic person with at least 3 years' experience in business development to join our team. The team is responsible for securing FM, Energy and business services contracts with the commercial and central government (CCS) sectors The role will be leading opportunities from identification to contract signature of c£10-£25m in OBV

The successful candidate will support the growth of the BES division taking responsibility for sector strategies and pipeline development, providing guidance and mentoring to other members of the sales team. The role will lead the bidding team drawn from all parts of the organisation.
The Business Development Manager may also provide support / report to Business Development Director working on larger or more complex opportunities where appropriate
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
Accountabilities:
· Delivery of personal and sector sales targets
· Continuously evolve and promote the sector strategy plans
· Proactively build client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline and win rate
· Successfully lead large complex bids to sector clients
· Compliance with ENGIE governance processes
· Ensure ENGIE CRM system is up to date
· Support organic growth and retention of current contracts Sales Achievement:
· own, develop and manage pipeline of sales opportunities that will meet personal and team sales targets for the next 2 to 3 years on a rolling basis
· Actively maintain a strong knowledge on ENGIE, industry, client, sector and competitor trends
· Work with a variety of internal, externa l and sister company sources to research and analyse prospective opportunities, markets and propositions
· Actively manage the routes to market and Identify and attend networking events
· Engage and nurture relationships across the industry which will generate new business opportunities
· Keep all stakeholders informed as opportunities progress through the cycle
Solution & submission Leadership:
· lead the team for each of their bid submission process to ensure deadlines are met with high quality outputs.
· To ensure client insights/needs are included within our solutions
· Identify areas where Engie solutions are poor and propose innovation or improvements
· Comply with all pre-bid governance processes to ensure authority to proceed
· Ensure all stakeholders are briefed on submissions as they progress
· Assemble and manage bid teams including SMEs, estimators, bid support, supply chain, commercial and operations as appropriate
· Work closely with the Specialist Services team to ensure that the technical solution for each customer is approved
· Lead opportunities through to financial and commercial closure with the client
· Lead the smooth hand over to mobilisation and operational teams
· Leads internal governance at BUCC, UK CC and Group CC levels
Operational:
· Operational understanding of at least one core business Engie business area; i.e. facilities management,
· Knowledge of mobilisations and key processes which govern financial, commercial, safety and performance of business General:
· provide a range of general duties and ad hoc support to the wider business development efforts.
· Lead the development of collateral and other sales material
· Lead business wide marketing campaigns and events
· Act as part of the Red / Purple Team Review for other bids

Qualifications or Required Experience:
· At least 3 years experience in Business Development with strong understanding of Engie services: Hard FM, Property, Soft FM, Energy and/or business services
· Holds a relevant degree in business/finance/economics/engineering or similar relevant subject or equivalent
· Energetic, self confident and self disciplined person
· Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with proven ability to quickly build relationships with customers.
· Articulate, innovative and challenging mindset with Strong collaborative style
· Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead teams and work under pressure to strict deadlines
· Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
· Appreciation of Strategic, Financial, Risk Analysis & Business Assurance systems Desirable:
· Experience in managing and mobilising operational contracts
