Job description



Assist in the compilation and delivery of IFRS and/or US GAAP based financial statements, reporting packages and analysis to local management, parent company, and the US partnerships.

As the Financial Reporting Advisor, you will provide IFRS and US GAAP guidance on complicated business transactions. You will also develop processes, drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and coordinate in external audits for ENGIE North America partnerships and JVs.

What you'll do:

·  Closely follow IFRS standard releases and assess the accounting and financial reporting impact for various partnerships in the US.
·  Compile financial statement reporting packages to ensure they comply with IFRS and/or US GAAP based on the ENGIE Group and various partnership reporting requirements.
·  Coordinate in the statutory and external partnership audits. Provide working papers and draft notes disclosures under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
·  Assist in the budget and full-year-forecast process for various partnership entities for selected underlying budget assumptions.
·  Continuously engage with business units (operations, BD, asset optimization, technical accounting, corporate) to coordinate financial reporting deliverables.
·  Manage internal activities of partnership management that include responsibilities of gathering data, providing analysis, preparing reports, making recommendations, driving productivity initiatives and corrective actions.
·  Lead or act as a high-level team member on special projects as needed.

What you bring:

·  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
·  Minimum 5 years' experience in financial reporting or audit.
·  Minimum 5 years' experience in the energy industry as an added asset
·  Minimum 7 total years' experience in a related accounting or finance role
·  Energy sector planning and analysis experience with relevant academic qualifications and intimacy with financial statements.
·  Deadline driven with project management skills necessary for cross-organizational coordination and on-time delivery of results and presetations.
·  2 years of accounting for tax equity partnerships a plus
·  Good IFRS and US GAAP knowledge and strong technical skills
·  Solid financial reporting background for various stakeholders.
·  Deadline driven with project management skills necessary for cross-organizational coordination and on-time delivery of results and presentations. Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease and bring projects to a timely close.
·  Coordinate and prepare responses for special requests for the business unit.
·  Proficiency in Finance/Accounting software packages such as SAP S4 HANA and Adaptive Insight would be an asset.
