ENGIE are recruiting for a Bricklaying Apprentice to be based in Altofts Road, Normanton, West Yorkshire, WF6 2XA.

This is fixed term contract for 2 years, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm and on offer will be a competitive salary.  This role will report into the Team Leader.

A person willing to learn and actively develop their knowledge, skills and experience to become a fully qualified bricklayer to the standard laid down by the CITB.  This person will develop onsite experience through assisting and learning from Operatives and Team Leaders.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

·  Be actively involved in the learning, personal development and apprenticeship training
·  To assist and carry out project defined bricklaying work to a high standard as directed 
·  This role does involve lifting, bending, kneeling and use of tools and machinery
·  To achieve all units laid down by the C.I.T.B. National Vocational Qualifications to achieve a standard in bricklaying acceptable to the company
·  To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures
·  Material co-ordination
·  Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site based documentation
·  Adhere to Company quality standards to include compliance with specification / compliance with materials and workmanship
·  To attend all relevant training courses including all SHEQ courses arranged by the employer including Tool Box Talks
·  Making repairs and restoring damaged parts
·  Maintain and care for all company tools
·  Wear appropriate clothing and PPE specific to tasks
·  Ensure all areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the working day
·  Seek service improvements to meet the needs of internal and external customers when possible
·  Any other reasonable management request
·  Any other duties which may from time to time reasonably be required within the general level of responsibility of the post
