Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for an Administrator to be based in Leeds LS2 9DA. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. This is a normal day shift but may require an earlier start in line with day shift working time. On offer is a competitive salary.

The Leeds Generating Station Complex has been established for over 40 years in providing heat, chilled water medical and general compressed air and electrical power to two clients the Leeds General Infirmary and the University of Leeds. Over the next two years the station will be a state of the art facility with a £29m upgrade currently under way. The projected delivery date is June 2019. Leeds generating Station Complex is currently operated by Energy Solutions (Engie Urban Energy) and has a 25 years contract once the upgrade has been completed.

ENGIE Solutions is a unique and highly successful organisation which currently seeks to employ an Administrator for an extremely prestigious and high-profile position on their long-term contract in Leeds. 

The role has considerable scope for the right person to make it their own and develop the job specification for the facilities providing heating, chilling and power services via a CHP plant in Clarendon Way, Leeds.

Administration/Data Collation/Computer skills and IT are important, but this role is also seen as a liaison, support and coordinator to the various technical functions so a level of technical understanding is essential.

This role will require a high standard of administrative excellence and the robust working practices needed to meet the challenges of this demanding operating environment.

The successful candidate will also have strong MS Office skills and a ‘can-do’ approach to variety of co-ordination and administrative functions.

This will be a varied role, and will include but limited to the following administrative tasks:

·  Managing schedules and bookings
·  Maintaining and updating technical documentation
·  Providing reporting information to both internal and external stakeholders i.e. H&S data, Coupe, monthly reports, Transfer documents etc.
·  Technical minute-taking
·  Administering various on-site maintenance packages including the PPM and O&M systems
·  Manage purchase and invoicing
·  Purchasing and budget reporting
·  Researching technical and other information to meet plant demands
·  Monitor and record training and personnel records
·  Manage office supplies
·  Prepare and maintain technical library
·  Prepare and maintain record storage
·  Be conversant to BIM
·  Manage new P&ID updates
·  Provide secretarial duties

·  Maintain all documentation and records to the highest standard
·  Project a professional image of the ENGIE Services Limited always to external and internal customers, this is to include clear channels of communication
·  Other tasks as directed by Line Management

You will be expected to undertake any training necessary to ensure that you are able to undertake your duties effectively.

·  GCSE’s (A* to C) or equivalent in English & Maths
·  A proven background in administration
·  Numerate with strong pc skills – particularly excel and word (MS Access desirable)
·  A working knowledge of PPM and O&M 
·  Experience in dealing with a variety of internal and external Customers
·  Experience in a technical / engineering related industry preferable
·  Health & Safety awareness
·  Willing to undertake further training
