About the Role
We have an 8 month fixed term contract opportunity in our Change of Tenancy team. In this customer facing/operational role you will be responsible for the management of the change of customer process. You will need to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure Change of Tenancies are completed swiftly and correctly.
Working as part of the Change of Tenancy team, this role will interface between the Customer Service teams and the back-office operational teams to ensure our customers and partners receive the highest standard of service.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, logically minded motivated individual with a keen eye for detail.
This role is a Hybrid role assigned to our Leeds office where the successful candidate will be based two days a week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
· Processing Change of Tenancies from the initial contact to closure of account and opening of new accounts, encompassing the full end to end process. within service level agreement timeframes.
· Ensure all deemed contracts are set up accurately and within agreed timescales.
· Accurate and timely management of Change of Tenancy dispute tickets.
· Assisting the recoveries and collections team with lease validation on warrant days.
· Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the COT process, addressing any queries or concerns promptly and efficiently. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of customer needs and expectations during tenancy changes.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, consultants and brokers as well as third party industry bodies, e.g. National Grid by phone and email.
· Processing Change of Tenancies from the initial contact to closure of account and opening of new accounts, encompassing the full end to end process.
· Proactively calling customers to progress Change of Tenancies as quickly as possible, ensuring due diligence, attaining of all relevant documents where necessary and effective use of Site Visits.
· Ensure management and the team are kept up to date with issues and escalations are carried out in a timely manner. Provide detailed handovers to the team at every opportunity.
· To identify themes of process and system issues that are creating high volumes of queries
· Support the team with team inbox on a rota.
Knowledge and skills:
· Logical thought process to resolve queries.
· Strong organisational skills
· Ability to work independently, demonstrating drive and initiative.
· Able to prioritise workload tasks based on business impact and importance.
· Excellent telephone manner - with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all customers.
· Team player, willing to share ideas and techniques with other colleagues to improve the business.
· Practical approach to problem solving.
· Knowledge of the energy sector is highly desirable, though not essential.
· Previous experience working in a fast paced, high volume customer service environment.
Experience and qualifications
· Previous customer service experience
· GCSE Maths Grade C (or equivalent) or above
· GCSE English Grade C (or equivalent) or above
