JUNIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPER - ANALYST HF
V.I.E. Dakar (Guediawaye) Master, Bac +5
Job description
Summary
We’re looking for a Junior Business Development Manager passionate about thinking big, making things happen, and scaling our fast-growing startup in new market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
About Power Corner
PowerCorner is a dynamic internal start-up of Engie aiming to develop sustainable mini-grids and act as a micro-utility to provide electricity access in rural Africa using a combination of key innovations: standardized, low-cost production units, a minigrid combined with smart prepaid meters and mobile money.
The market potential for energy access in Africa is tremendous, with 300 million people without access to electricity in ENGIE Tier-1 countries, of which 200 million are expected to be electrified through mini-grids or solar home systems solutions. BU Africa has great ambitions in this BtoC/BtoT African market and mini-grids are therefore part of the core business of the BU.
The objective is to expand in Senegal where PowerCorner has already a pilot project and is currently developing several more. Beyond Senegal, the goal is to be a leader of the mini-grid market with a key role in framing regulation and technologies.
