Inventory clerk - No experience needed!

Emphasis Inventories Ltd, one of London’s premier inventory companies, is seeking a full time inventory clerk to join our team covering Surrey/South West London. The job is a permanent position. The successful candidate can start immediately.

Emphasis is growing rapidly and are looking to add to its team of existing clerks. The pay package is a combination of a fixed monthly salary plus a commission for each job. Participation in the company’s profit share scheme is also included, as is private healthcare after 1 year’s employment.

Your work will take you all around the county and nearby London boroughs, seeing many types of properties. For someone with an interest in the property sector, possibly wanting a career in the industry, this job is a fantastic base. You will join a very supportive team, with a fantastic work atmosphere.

Your job will consist of generating reports on the condition and content of properties at the beginning and end of tenancies. You will place recommendations on whether tenants have kept the property in adequate condition or have caused damage beyond normal wear and tear. Your report is used to ensure that both landlords and tenants are treated fairly before/during/after a tenancy, protecting both tenant’s deposits and landlord’s investments.

All necessary training will be provided, but certain personal skills are important. As a person you are very thorough and have good common sense. You have good verbal communication skills and an ability to work independently. You are courteous, objective and not unduly influenced by others. You take responsibility for your work, you are punctual and efficient, and all work is submitted on time.

Experience as an inventory clerk is not needed. The training given will lead to an accreditation by the AIIC (Association of Independent Inventory Clerks). Access to a car for appointments is required, with expenses being reimbursed. A base in or around Surbiton would be the most efficient to minimise travel, but all other Surrey/South West London locations work.
