·  Drive cost and supplier performance initiatives
·  Develop strategies for electronics supply chain commodity

Responsibilities

·  Identify suppliers capable of supplying the company's product portfolio
·  Negotiate with suppliers price and lead time for mechanical parts
·  Identify and mitigate risk of part shortages due to supplier production shortages or end of life situations
·  Analyze material requirements for the mechanical parts – different grades of steel in order to understand the price construction for the mechanical parts
·  Analyze machining operations of the mechanical arts in order to have control on the price from suppliers
·  Identify and manage cost containment projects to drive net material inflation improvement
·  Work closely with Engineering and Development to drive procurement activities, supplier negotiation and cost projections for new product development projects.

Requirements

·  Demonstrated understanding of the material requirements and processes needed to support the offshore oil and gas business
·  Demonstrated negotiation skills
·  Procurement experience in a project based work order manufacturing environment
·  Experience working on new product development teams
·  Micro Soft Office experience and expertise (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
·  Oracle 11i or other major ERP system experience desirable
·  Bilingual English
·  Strong analytical capabilities.
