Emerson Process Management's Remote Automation Solutions is a leading global supplier of innovative decision software, as well as Oil and Gas SCADA Solutions including field instruments, flow computers, remote terminal units (RTUs), SCADA Software, and engineering services. Our products provide monitoring, measurement, and control solutions, as well as operational efficiency commercial profitably and safety, and can be found throughout the oil and gas production, transmission, distribution and energy logistics markets in North America and around the world! We have an immediate need for a Software Intern at our Watertown, CT facility. This candidate will work with our Software Development Team over the summer to design software on new products and supporting existing products.

Job Responsibilities
· Write Design Specifications
· Develop software in C#
· Unit testing of software
· Debug of existing software
· Experience with PC programming
· Experience working with databases
This is a paid internship opportunity and may result in a full-time position upon graduation.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

· Candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science Preferred Qualifications

· Hands-on experience developing in a Microsoft Windows environment
· Working knowledge of C# (or C++)
· Working knowledge of .NET Framework Development a plus
· Willingness to provide production support and maintenance activities
· Effective communications with all levels of internal and external customer and staff
