The Studio 

Electronic Arts’ Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia is highly regarded throughout the industry as a Live Service mobile game studio.  We release new meaningful updates on a regular basis for games such as Real Racing 3, The Sims FreePlay, and Need for Speed (see the video above for an example of our recent pregnancy update). 
 

The Role 

We’re looking for a highly talented and dedicated UI / Digital Designer who thrives in a live service environment. In this diverse role, you will design, build and implement our mobile games user interfaces, from initial flows and wireframes, through to prototypes and final in game layouts in addition to animations and effects.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

·  Create and produce artwork in accordance with the direction of the Art Lead, Designer and Producer.
·  Design and implement an aesthetically appealing, innovative and engaging user-experience.
·  Work closely with designers and programmers to implement and problem solve designs.
·  Work within a small, motivated team and communicate effectively.
·  Work within an existing and ongoing UI design with graphical and technical limitations.
·  Report status of the project to all key stakeholders across studio functions.

You Will Have

·  Proven industry experience in UI for video games, web or digital platforms.
·  A strong design portfolio
·  A well-rounded knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash or After Effects
·  Ability to learn in-house UI development tools
·  The ability to conceptualize abstract concepts into impressive on-screen visuals and animation
·  Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
·  Knowledge of current UX Design methodologies an advantage
