The Challenge Ahead:

 

Electronic Arts are seeking a part-time Payroll Assistant, who will be responsible for the entry of all monthly changes and data into the UK Payroll System; as well as providing general administration and back up to the European Payroll Manager.

 

What a Payroll Assistant does at EA:

 

Monthly processing of all salary information including, but not limited to;

·  Work closely with HR to ensure all relevant new hire and leaver data is received in time for processing
·  Be pro-active in obtaining personal details from the new employees, including personal details forms, P45’s, Starter Declaration Forms, bank details, Social Security numbers, etc
·  Ensure all necessary data is received for leavers to ensure an accurate and timely final payment
·  Work closely with the Compensation & Benefits team, to ensure all benefits are reported and processed correctly through payroll
·  Reconcile the part-time employee hours to ensure they are accurately reflected in payroll
·  Sabbatical balance queries
·  Manage the ADP Self Service Online portal
·  Monitor and remain completely up-to-date with all legislative changes
·  Payroll reporting for Finance
·  Reconciling employee benefit deductions for GL, such as Season Ticket Loans.
·  Respond to all queries from employees, authorities and managers
·  National Statistics Reporting
·  Work closely with Facilities and Reception to reconcile the EA car park spaces and employee payments
·  Compile relocated/seconded employee salary data for PWC

 

Administer the Company Share Scheme Process for UK employees

·  Manage the processing of various share schemes via the payroll as required by local legislation, including Stock Plans, Restricted Stock units (RSU) Plans and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
·  Reconcile monthly ESPP contributions and ensure data is submitted to the US in accordance with deadlines

 

Ensure full legislation compliance in accordance with published external timetables e.g. Tax,

·  Social Security authorities in order to prevent penalties for late payment/reporting

 

 

The next great EA Payroll Assistant also needs:

 

·  Experience working in a busy payroll function
·  Expertise in UK payroll legislation
·  Excellent MS Excel experience is a pre-requisite
·  Experience working with ADP Freedom is beneficial
·  Excellent communicator with fluent spoken and written English
·  Approachable and a focus on customer service
·  The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to cope when under pressure, be a team player and still provide a first class, customer focused service.
·  Strong autonomy
·  The ideal candidate will be resourceful in finding solutions or improved ways of approaching tasks, investigating the local legalisations if needed, and creating processes when required.
·  Degree of technical expertise coupled with a meticulous, methodical approach to tasks and responsibilities.
·  Strong interactions skills to be able to deal daily with HR and Finance managers, and also as this role deals with employees/managers at all levels and in various areas of the Business
·  Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
