POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Support the Leader of Thermal Insulation Domain in developing PU systems for refrigerators and freezers specifically designed for North American plants, according to the projects included into the Technology Route Map.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Support the technology domain leader in planning activity with suppliers of PU chemicals.
·  Collaborate with the technology domain leader in the management of the pilot plant for PU foaming located in Anderson plant.
·  Support the model workshop in the production of prototypes of new models taking care of PU foaming step.
·  Arrange, with process laboratories of the North American plants, industrial trials to qualify new materials and new suppliers.
·  Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering in the validation and implementation of new technologies for PU foaming process.

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or related degree required.  Master's degree and experience in the Polyurethane Chemistry preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

·  Solid knowledge of product development processes.
·  Knowledge of Physics of Thermal Insulation.
·  Knowledge of PU chemistry preferred.
·  Knowledge of PU foaming process preferred.
·  Ability in team work.
·  Ability in reporting and in project design.
