POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for improving service call rate (SCR), Supplier Quality (PPM), and reducing manufacturing disruptions in the Fabrication and Foaming departments (NRFT).  The coordination of internal quality measurements (SPC) & system audit activities, expediting procedure development, revisions and reviews, as well as assisting in the management of the corrective action and quality improvement system.  Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing and reporting the quality performance measures, negotiating with suppliers regarding quality improvement plans and corrective actions.

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing/Quality or a related field.
·  Experience in SPC (Cpk, Ppk, & DMAIC Process), preferred Green-belt or Black-belt.
·  Three or more years of experience in Operations and/or Quality in a manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
·  Prefer experience in a complex high volume manufacturing business with ISO registration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

·  Highly motivated individual that has a strong drive for results; communicates effectively both in written and verbal communication formats, holds people accountable for goal attainment and coordinates all project actions and design details to deliver on team and project commitments
·  Ability to understanding the refrigeration business objectives
·  Creative, personally committed, resourceful problem solver capable of leading a project from inception through project implementation
·  Experience with computer applications: MS Excel, MS Word, & Mini Tab. AS400 experienced preferred.
·  Working knowledge of statistical problem solving and statistical quality improvement techniques
·  Working knowledge of measurement tools (gauges, calibers, etc. ), calibration of test, & inspection.
