Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Develop functionalities and investigate issues on fabric care products. Plan and execute tests to verify design robustness and quality of the units. Coordinate lab test operations involving washers and dryers from its prototype stage up to production. Instrument, collect data, monitor, and analyze products that run reliability tests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Use statistical tools to plan experiments and analyze results.
· Lead and execute test set up and test experiments
· Investigate product failures, fatigues, software bugs, and issues related to the field.
· Provide constructive feedback in regards product performance and functionality to internal partners such as Product Architecture Governance Centre (PAGC), and Global Technology Domain (GTD)
· Instrument equipment and manage data collection of units
· Provide improvement and innovation proposals
· Elaborate test plan schedule in order to maximize resource usage and prevent schedule conflict
· Support lab equipment maintenance and acquisition
· Support the internal network of global and regional laboratories for the test activities, measurements and calibrations and assure alignment on test methodologies across the different regions
· Support analysis and action plan to improve product ranking on consumers institutes
· Work towards improving test procedures, statistical analysis, and lab resource and time optimization
· Collaborate with Universities, Test Institutes, Test Standard Organizations, and Detergent manufacturers looking for resource creation opportunities, building meaningful alliances and network.

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering degree.
· 3+ years' experience working in a test lab environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

· Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisitions systems, instrumentation
· Experience in root cause analysis, DFMEA, failure and fatigue analysis,
· Knowledge statistical design of experiment and statistical software (ex: Minitab, JMP)
· Experience with programming languages (C, C++) and LabVIEW programming
· Fabric Care product knowledge is a plus.
· Critical thinker and hands-on mindset.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
