Quality Technician (1st Shift)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Electrolux is currently looking for Quality Technicians to continue supporting our Cooking Division with producing high quality appliances for our consumers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Proficient in utilizing hand tools, gages, and appropriate quality tools
· Participate in Gage R&R activity, measure reproducibly accurately
· Define Quality concepts and processes including Six Sigma basics, cost of quality, etc.
· Complete resolution and determination of next steps, preventive activity
· Audit, Document, and Review Standard Work
· Ensure standard traceability requirements are met
· Appropriately select M&TE usage
· Assess tool accuracy and precision
· Able to support all operational areas in the factory, and train others where needed
· Review, evaluate and interpret PPAP dimensional layout information

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or GED required
· Prior quality experience, preferably 2-5 years, with knowledge of quality terms, definitions and concepts
· Basic knowledge of statistical terms and techniques
· Must understand types of measurement, measurement terminology and the different types of scales

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
· Understand and appropriately apply lean basics: Standard work, RRCA, Quality Methods, PDCA, Waste Identification, Pull Systems, Problem Solving, TPM, Poka Yoke, kaizen, delivery
· Demonstrated ability to participate and lead RRCA activity, knows basic problem solving and can apply basic problem solving tools
· Must know the difference between accuracy and precision and be able to select the appropriate measuring tools and techniques.
· Must know how to measure using surface plate layouts, blue print reading including GD&T.
· Must be able to identify/recognize inspection errors and initiate resolution.
· Must have basic calibration knowledge, monitor adherence to calibration procedures.
· Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major and minor characteristics.
· Working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, z coordinate system.
· Must be able to use inspection planning tools and perform a product audit; determine sample size for lots; pull random samples.
· Must be able to identify, contain and report nonconforming material.
· Must understand traceability (product, material and calibration).
· Define basic sampling plans, understanding of AQL
· Understand & appropriately apply NC Product Control
· Basic understanding and application of control plan development and adherence, participate in creation of C/P
· Basic understanding & application of ISO requirements
