The SDA Key Account Manager (Channel Sales Manager) will manage all aspects of the business relationship for E-Commerce and Additional National Channel Customers including:  merchandising, development and implementation of a growth strategy, forecasting, sales and accounts P&L responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Develop a strategy that achieves the objectives for the customers and maximizes the sales/profit for the company.
·  Manage advertising/promotional funds to achieve sale/profit objectives for both the customers and the company without exceeding budget.
·  Accurate forecasting of purchases by customer.
·  Attainment of sales & budget objectives.
·  Advocate for customers and class of trade – to provide information to the company in regards to their needs and requirements.
·  Understanding of competition-what they are doing and what they will do in the marketplace.
·  Manage cost to serve to achieve profit objective set for account.
·  Manage accounts receivables within company guidelines
·  Implement where applicable SDA Digital Sales, Marketing & Promotional Campaigns
·  Represent SDA at trade, industry shows.
·  Control personal business expenses and submit timely expense reports.
·  Share best practices with colleagues
·  Manage customer facing programs pertaining to new product launches in specific channels

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·  B.S. degree in Marketing or Business required.
·  Preferably three to five years of outside sales experience with a consumer products company.
·  20%+ overnight travel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

·  Intimate knowledge of retail and understanding of the various retail classes of trade are desired.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
·  Must be a self-starter, able to work unsupervised
·  Use sound business judgment
·  Understanding and aptitude to manage budget is essential.
·  Computer experience with an understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is necessary.
