Innovation Engineer – Materials
Objectives
The Innovation Engineer will be member of the Global Connectivity and Technology center (GC&T), working in an international, multi-competence environment. In particular, he/she will be part of the Advanced Technologies team and will work in projects in the area of materials standardization and modularization, with the objective of implementing a digital approach for materials management. The job will be focused on the definition, deployment and maintenance of a global database for materials used in household and professional appliances.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in the field of materials specification, selection and life-cycle management and will functionally interface with the GC&T Advanced Materials team in Porcia, Italy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively support the digital implementation of digital materials management in R&D processes.
• Collect, analyze and structure available material information from literature, technical information, standards and drawing information.
• Perform materials data input, verification and maintenance.
• Support environmental assessments and CAE design with materials engineering data.
• Prepare presentations and technical reports.
• Provide regular status communication to cross functional and executive teams.
• Work in matrix with other GC&T functions; in particular she/he will work in close cooperation with all Advanced Technologies teams based in Porcia, Italy.
• Cooperate with the R&D community.
• Other duties as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Materials/Chemical Engineering or related degree.
• 2-3 years track record/hands-on experience in at least one of the following fields: materials processes/technologies, materials characterization, BOM management.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Robust knowledge of raw materials (plastics and metals) properties and transformation processes.
• Familiar with international specifications, standards and norms.
• Knowledge PLM and CAD tools (preferred Siemens Teamcenter and Dassault Systèmes Catia).
• Understanding of product development processes and appliance industry.
• Good knowledge of office IT data analysis tools.
