With the increase in control system complexity it has become necessary to streamline the development flow ensuring adequate understanding of product requirements and seamless integration of electronic modules into an otherwise tyipically electro-mechanical system.A key actor in this process is the Controls System engineer.
In this role you will be part of our growing electronics team and you will be closely working with Product Development, Innovation, Laboratories and other Departments to ideate, define, specify system architecture in line with the Global Strategy and Technology Roadmaps while being accountable for the delivery of the modules the system is comprised of.
You will have the chance to collaborate with other teams within the Global Electrolux Group creating opportunities for cross-fertilisation and gaining access to a broad portfolio of technologies and products. You will be supporting and/or applying Model Based Design techniques to speed up development and to improve the quality and performance of our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and validate new electronic control architectures/modules/ components/systems taking care of its design and development (technical specification, functionality, reliability, manufacturability, safety, modularity, etc.)
• Support project execution so that timing, investments, cost, quality and performance are delivered according to specification.
• Ensure that new products, concepts, modules developed are in line with the architectures and product strategy at Global level.
• Create strong relationship with all functions in the organization, to enhance the delivery of global targets.
• Robust design tools (FMEA, tolerances analysis, statistics, etc )
• Analysis of technical solutions with suppliers, factory and other involved functions
• Identify and support standardization by ensuring that new development fit into the platform and subsystem structure

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Electronics Engineering:
- Sensors
- Distributed control systems (Master/Slave architecture, etc)
- Embedded Systems (ADCs, PWMs, etc etc)
- Familiarity with FW and SW coding principles and practices
• Knowledge of international norms governing appliance approval
• Simulation based design
• Writing of technical specifications: tracing requisites through to test plan verification (V-model)
• Knowledge of the basic principles of
- Mechanical Engineering
- Drafting and Simulation Performance
- Thermodynamics
- Six Sigma and statistical analysis
• Project Management

• Operational Performance
• Able to work and deliver under pressure in cross-functional teams
• Strong leadership skills: manage by influence
• Clear and crisp communication in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural context: non-technical audience.
• Previous experience from similar or related fields, especially experience from fabric care is a plus.
