Engie are recruiting for a Site janitor to be based in Keynsham Police Centre Bristol BS31 8SX . This is a permanent part time role working 35 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £13,650 per annum.The role holder will report to Mobile Cleaning Supervisor/Soft Service Manager and will provide and maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for staff, users and visitors to Avon & Somerset Police PFI Buildings every day.
• Clean and maintain all areas to standards required to meet the Authority requirements
• To carry out all allocated cleaning activities and daily testing to the specification completely, safely and within the required timescales
• To use cleaning materials and consumables as recommended by ENGIE'S supplier, following supplier's recommended use instructions
• Perform specialist cleaning tasks including (but not exclusively): scrubber/ dryer operation, spot carpet cleaning, high level cleaning, deep cleaning of cells, toilets and kitchens etc.
• Daily cleaning to external grounds
• Maintain the upkeep of cleanliness and checking of consumables in toilet and kitchen areas throughout the day
• Work with ENGIE site handyman for any ad hoc tasks that may arise
• Assist with additional specialist cleans with the custody cleaning operative should the need arise
• Assist the custody cleaning operative if needed
• Regular daily waste checks and emptying of recycling & confidential waste containers
• Replenishment and regular cleaning of kitchen areas and replenishment of consumables
• Daily checks of meeting rooms, furniture and fixtures within zoned areas
• Attend to any spillages as quickly as possible to eliminate any Health and Safety issues on site
• Report and communicate with the Helpdesk throughout the day
• To work within the requirements of ENGIE's Health & Safety policy; having specific regard to colour coding, COSHH, Risk Assessments and safe working practices
• Maintain assigned cleaning cupboard to the ENGIE standards and requirements
• Complete a Shift Handover at the end of every shift or before leaving site
• Attend regular meetings and team conference calls with the Cleaning Supervisor/soft services manager

• Flexibility – able to work additional and sometime unsociable hours if and when required.
• PFI contract knowledge preferable
• BICs trained
• Experience of working within a Facilities Management environment.
