Job description
ENGIE are recruiting for a SBO Operative to be based in Gatwick. This is a Permanent full time working 38 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £21,704 per annum plus shift allowance. The role holder will report to the SBO Supervisor. This role is working shifts, including nights.
Main Responsibilities / Duties Include
MIS
· To monitor the operation of the baggage systems under ENGIE operational control using the Management Information System (MIS) and CCTV systems
· To communicate faults to the appropriate responsible persons in a clear and concise manner, Using the radio systems provided, following the radio protocol
· To input and check the chute allocation plan (provided by each handling agent) in the Sort Allocation Computer (SAC) for the baggage systems under ENGIE Ltd operational control
· To make adhoc changes to the chute allocation plan in the SAC on the request of the handling agent
· To record information (including photographs where appropriate) on the TBF photolog
· To record information and events as required on the relevant forms
· To provide regular information both proactively and at the request of the Baggage System Supervisor
· To implement baggage system contingency routes from the MIS as instructed by the BSSS.
· To provide administration support to the BSSS
· To complete all documentation, records and reports as applicable
· To run system generated periodic reports at agreed frequencies
· To analyse all statistical information available so that the systems can be managed proactively
· To maintain the staff and visitors log and take these to the Assembly Point in the event of a Fire evacuation
· To conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
· To escalate all system change requests from BA (British Airways) to ENGIE BSS (Baggage System Supervisor) or GAL (Gatwick Airport Limited) MBO (Manager Baggage Operations) for authorisation
· To ensure that all Health and Safety rules are followed in line with company, statutory and BA/GAL rules
· Control Room Help Desk – To receive and allocate faults on the help desk Fault Desk & Scheduling
· To manage the Gatwick Property Fault Desk and Scheduling
· To answer calls within the SLA and strictly following the Fault Desk call procedure
· To log calls into “Maximo” completing all required fields and mandatory information
· To record faults manually if required
· To learn “Scheduling duties” to be able to support this function
· To be able to deal with customer and interface with ENGIE Managers and Supervisors
