Job description

Engie are recruiting for a Maintenance Joiner to be based in Royal Infirmary Edinburgh EH16 4SA. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £21,120 per annum.The role holder will report to Fabric Manager and will have maintenance skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the internal and external fabric while working within the fabric team.

• Work Overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required.
• Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Fabric Supervisor.
• To liaise with Fabric Supervisor and Facilities Services Manager regarding request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary.
• Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use all relevant drawings and schematics.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with published procedures.
• Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations.
• Complete all Task/Risk Assessment sheets relating to work.
• Use all of relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with Engie Guidelines and Controls e.g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances.
• Have an understanding relationship of other craftsmen's work.
• Obligation to undertake training where necessary to learn new techniques.
• Understand fully the inter-relationship between the various maintenance crafts

Desired profile

Required qualifications are an appropriately recognised C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent.
