Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Domestic Operative to be based in West Burton Power Station, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 9BL. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week £14,995.50 per annum.
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
· Undertake day to day duties, associated with a domestic environment. This may include cleaning offices, mess rooms, ablution blocks and emptying bins, in accordance with Company standards
· Have a full working knowledge of all equipment, materials and chemical agents used in the course of your work
· Use the correct equipment and materials to carry out your tasks as per the safe systems of work
· Submit a holiday request form and obtain approval prior to taking holidays
· Only undertake tasks in which you have been trained
· Report any incomplete work to the WPS Working Supervisor / Charge Hand together with the reason
· Be proactive in identifying areas that are not to the required standard and act upon your findings
· Deal with issues escalated to yourself from your team and if you are unable to resolve them, then you escalate upwards to your Manager in a timely manner
· Assist the Management Team in maintaining effective stock control of materials/equipment/chemicals
· Ensure all work areas are maintained to a safe and hygienic standard, in so far is practicable
· Ensure PPE is being worn correctly and that it is returned to the storage area in a safe clean condition
· Do not leave site whilst on duty unless you have permission from your Line Manager
· Undertake other duties as required, these may be outside the normal duties undertaken and will be designed to support the smooth operation of the business
· Maintain a professional approach with all WPS and client contacts
· Know your clients by name
· Clock in/sign in and change into your work wear ready for work at your agreed contractual time. You must also change out of your work wear and clock out at your contractual time
· Handle client concerns in a professional, understanding manner and pass all concerns or comments to the WPS Direct Line Supervisor / Manager
· Carry out work safely and efficiently, as directed by Supervisor/ Line Manager
· Maintain any given documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 standards
· Attend toolbox talks and undertake duties in accordance with the information given
· Ensure compliance with Company and client Health, Safety and Environmental rules
· Report any accidents, near misses, health and safety or environmental issues to Team Leader or Supervisor immediately
· Be able to rectify problems where appropriate (following correct procedures)
· Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)

· Experience in the Domestic Field Preferred
· An intermediate knowledge of health and safety requirements in a similar environment For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
