Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Carpenter to be based in Dungeness Power Station. This is a permanent, full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £23,000 to £28,000, depending on skills and experience.

An experienced and qualified Carpenter/Joiner is required to join our busy facilities management Company in Dungeness.
Duties include:
Building and repairing wooden related structures.This will include constructing, erecting, altering, repairing and maintaining wooden doors, roofs, windows, furniture, cabinets, open plan offices, screens, frames, and other items using hand power tolls such as drills, jointers, sanders, saws, and other equipment of the carpentry trade.

Desired profile
· Requirements
· City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 is a minimum requirement
· Experience in a nuclear environment desirable but not essential
Responsibilities
· Must demonstrate a methodical approach to tasks and plan accurately
· Be able to follow technical drawings and plans
· Numerical ability for measuring and making calculations (material estimates and measurements)
· Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance
· Knowledge of the safe operation of basic hand and power tools

An ability to work under pressure taking ownership of all delegated tasks ensuring that all work is of a high standard. Constantly drives to do things better and works to improve productivity.
