YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT
Eiffage, Budimex and Rizzani de Eccher, in a consortium, are carrying out the civil engineering and track-laying work on the 230-kilometre Latvian section of the new Rail Baltica high-speed rail line.

The aim of this line is to integrate the Baltic States into the European rail network by creating a link between Helsinki (Finland) and Warsaw (Poland). The cross-border rail link will further the development of a single European market by facilitating trade through interoperability between the various transport networks (land, river and air). It will also help to increase the share of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport.
The section won by ERB Rail is designed for a speed of 249 km/h for passenger trains and 120 km/h for freight trains.
YOUR MAIN TASKS
The South Regional Management Team Quantity survey core responsibility is to carefully estimate quantities and costs, calculate material needs and map out project timelines for the South Region based in Iecava :

Works closely with the South Senior quantity surveyor and the GMT Head Quantity Surveyor to implement the strategies and processes defined by the General Management Team.

Prepare accurate quantity and cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for the project.

Assist in the tendering process by preparing tender documents, analyzing bids, and evaluating contractor proposals.

Participate in negotiations with contractors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and pricing.

Develop and manage budgets, monitoring costs, expenses, and commitments. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.

Track the changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections in line with these.
·
Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and measurements from architectural, engineering drawings and on-site walkabouts to determine the quantities of materials and resources required for construction.

Coordination with Subcontractors to define and agree quantities of executed works to be invoiced.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Master of Engineering or RCS or similar.
Quantity surveyor’s certificate for 5 years.
At least 10 years of working experience as a Quantity surveyor in construction with at least 2 years’ experience in railway project.
High level of English, both spoken and written (at least at B1 level).
Attention to details is a must.
Very good analytical capability.
Ability to commit deadlines to attend the Project objectives.
Ability to adapt to the different stages of the Project and eventual changes to the plan.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
