1:1 Teaching Assistant – Reading

This well-backed Primary School in Reading is seeking a dedicated graduate to join the team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This role is starting as soon as possible and is working part time hours, five days a week on a term time basis only.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant your excellent communication skills will also be required to develop positive relationships with other pupils, staff and parents. Ideally you will have some experience of working with young people either within a school or similar environment.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will be working under the instruction and guidance of an experienced Teacher to enable access to learning for the pupil you are supporting within a specific curriculum stage. As this pupil’s 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will work with them in the classroom as well as outside the main teaching area. You will supervise and provide particular support including promoting inclusion and encouraging the interaction with others and engaging in activities led by the Teacher.
