Job description
The Packaging Category Managerh/f will be a key part of Ecotone R&D, reporting to the R&D Director Europe and work in close cooperation with the ECT managers based in different locations.
He/She will be responsible for proposing and implementing new packaging to core categories products to add value, differentiation and reduce the environmental impact.
In addition, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the packaging specifications quality in the system to provide all the technical information required by the business.
Role & Responsabilities
Strategy
* Drive and monitor the sustainable packaging strategy for the group.
* Develop and propose innovative packaging concepts to marketing ECTs, contributing to the overall innovation plan.
* Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities within the existing packaging portfolio.
* Ensure technological monitoring (products, materials, regulations) in order to propose innovative solutions that meet industrialization constraints.
Project execution
* Oversee the implementation of new packaging solutions for core product categories.
* Manage packaging projects from idea through to first production, either in-house or with third-party manufacturers, Support production sites during the testing and trial phases on the lines
Data compliance & reporting
* Support the packaging specifications (PCK) system, ensuring regulatory compliance ; train & support the R&D community for data maintenance.
* Support the enforcement of packaging policies and monitor performance through KPI reporting.
* Analyse the carbon footprint of Ecotone packaging and lead initiatives to achieve reductions.

Education
* Degrees in packaging and / or food engineer school
* Pack Office Intermediate/advanced level
* Fluent in English and French
Technical competencies
* Packaging development (preferably for food) experience of minimum 10 years
* Factory packaging experience
