Junior PHP Developer - Paid Internship

Job description

ebizmarts are a software company based in the UK, US and Uruguay. We specialise in building extension modules for the popular ecommerce platform Magento (www.magento.com). Our latest product is in start up mode and is an iOS based App which provides in-store Point of Sale (POS) capabilities to retailers in the physical environment (pos.ebizmarts.com).

With over 500 customers globally and growing, we are looking to add a graduate developer resource to the team in the UK to assist with core and bespoke retailer requirements who has self drive and a great attitude to contribute to the wider global teams. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to join a young and dynamic company with further global expansion ambitions planned.

Ideal candidates should have the following skills:

PHP
- Mysql
- Magento
- Git
- Linux/Unix knowledge
- Mobile app development (Swift/Xamarin)

Other core competencies required:

Computer Science/Business degree background or similar
Affinity to both sales and technology
Ability to grasp various system integration capabilities
Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise workload
Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
Knowledge of PHP
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Excellent organisation skills
Self starter
Confidence in front of external clients
Flexible and enthusiastic approach
General interest in retail commerce (ecommerce and in store Point of Sale
systems) and payment systems
Magento ecommerce platform experience
Fluency in English essential
Spanish a bonus!
