Primary Job Responsibilities
The Mgr/Sr. Mgr, People Analytics will use data to generate insights that help improve decisions impacting eBay's workforce.
Job Requirements
The People Analytics team is tasked with utilizing eBay's worldwide people data to generate insights to better understand workforce dynamics, inform strategies to positively impact the attraction, development and retention of our dynamic and growing workforce and ultimately, improve the performance trajectory of the business.
The responsibilities for this role include:
· Work directly with HR and business stakeholders to translate business questions and hypotheses into structured analyses.
· Guide and coach the broader HR team in using new tools and techniques.
· Share insights with the HR, Finance and Business leadership and influence them to ensure adoption and measurable impact in our company's outcomes.
· Develop models and methodologies that will generate actionable insights for the business.
· Connect with the existing analytics community at eBay (and other external analytics communities) to leverage their expertise in developing the optimal approach/model for each workforce problem.
· Manage other researchers (vendors, academics and AWFs) in leveraging our data to conduct research and answer questions about our workforce.
· Provide input to the HR Data Management & Reporting Team, IT and HR Delivery Solutions teams in the implementation of an HR data architecture.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
· Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills, especially in translating business problems into structured analyses.
· Creative thinker; able to develop unique methods of analysis where traditional methods do not yield results.
· Comfort with ambiguity and small/incomplete data.
· Passionate about deriving insights, curious and inquisitive by nature.
· Ability to share insights and recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner.
· Ability to translate advanced analytics approaches for non-technical audiences.
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in analytics or management consulting.
· Experience with statistical analysis tools preferred (SAS, SPSS, R).
· Experience with database query tools preferred (SQL).
· Prior experience in Human Resources a plus
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Math, Business or related field
