To beef up our team we are hiring a Junior Software Developer (m/f)

We are one of the most-visited sites in Germany and growing atanamazing speed. Currently, we havearound 14 million active ads and more than 15 million monthly unique users- more than half on mobile devices. All this traffic is powered by a set of Java 8/Spring applications and MySQL/Riak/Solr/ElasticSearch servers that serve tens of thousands request every second. We use Kanban for development and have up to 7 releases a day, thanks to our fully automated continuous delivery pipeline.

Tasks and Responsibilities

·  Create the technology future of online classifieds in a scalable, clean way
·  Improve our applications and APIs to become better each day
·  Ensure code quality and maintainability by improving build and test systems
·  Be an interface between Product Management, Design, Business and Customers
·  Drive your own ideas for code and process improvement and achieve the next level together with the team
·  Be involved in the whole development lifecycle from architecture to QA and deployment

Requirements

·  Passion for Software Development
·  Curiosity to learn new technologies (MySQL, Riak, MongoDB, Solr, ElasticSearch, Spring, Hadoop, etc...)
·  Programming skills in Java
·  Believer in team work
·  Ideally experience with Source-Code Control Systems, Build-Tools and Test-Driven Development as well as knowledge around JavaScript/HTML 5/CSS 3
